The Opportunity

Over the course of its 60+ years, WWF has established deep and committed relationships with generous donors nationwide. To further enhance its engagement with these donors, WWF engaged the Stott Group to develop a strategic roadmap for building a comprehensive Major Donor Stewardship and Recognition Program.

Strategy + Results

  • Conducted an Operations + Capacity Assessment to ensure our approach was grounded in WWF’s assets and opportunities;
  • Conducted extensive Market Research, including a landscape analysis of peer organizations, interviews with WWF donors and staff members, surveys, and focus groups, and synthesized core findings to inform a data-driven program;
  • Developed a creative program highly customized around WWF’s strengths, culture, and unique offerings to share impact, celebrate WWF’s supporters, deepen donor relationships, and strengthen internal operations; and
  • Provided an actionable implementation strategy to bring the program to life.
